Rosemary Ann Peschong was born October 29, 1924, at Wentworth, SD to Vernon and Eleanor (Fitzgerald) Zimmermann. She graduated from St Thomas High School in Madison, General Beadle State College and then taught for several years. On June 30, 1948, she married Leon Peschong at St Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, They lived in Omaha then moved to Woonsocked until 1955, when they moved to Mitchell. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, The Catholic Daughters, PEO and the Yesteryear Antique Club.
She is survived by her husband, Leon; eight children: Steve Peschong and wife, Marilyn, Mitchell, SD; Michelle Ommen and husband Mike, Mitchell, SD; Tim Peschong and wife, Deb, Moorhead, MN; Jim Peschong and wife Beth, Aberdeen, SD; Mary Brechler and husband, Chris, Henderson, NV; Lisa Whealy and husband, Mark, Madison, SD; Mike Peschong and wife, Lea Ann, Marshalltown, IA; Tony Peschong and wife, Sharla, Milford, IA; twenty-three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Phil Zimmerman, Sioux Falls, SD; James Zimmermann and wife, Sheila, Santa Barbara, CA; two sisters: Mary Ann Mahlsteadt and husband, Duane, Lacey, WA and Threse Fefjar and husband, James, Beatrice, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert.
