OBITUARY- Richard John Peschong was born August 8, 1921 at Howard, SD to John F. (Fritz) & Thresia (Miller) Peschong. He grew up in Howard and attended St. Agatha School graduating in 1939.
What was to become his life long career began in 1940 at the Miner county Bank in Howard. In 1941 he accepted a job with the Bank of America based in California. Through the years his employment took him from teller to Vice-President; and he d he spent years in foreign countries where he was in charge of operations of the bank.
Dick took time out from his banking duties to serve in the US Navy during WWII, being discharged in 1946.
His employment spanned over 40 years; after he retired he spent the past several years in Sioux falls, SD.
The members of the Peschong, Miller, Schulte and Gassman families will be forever grateful for the history he compiled and put in book form for future generations to enjoy.
Those grateful for having shared his life are his 4 brothers, Leon and Thomas of Mitchell, SD, James of Fargo, ND and Alan of Lakewood, CO; 3 sisters, Helen Schneiderhan of Schertz, TX, Rita Mills of Huron, SD and Carol Rockwell of Fridley, ley, MN; many neices, nephews, and other relatives and frients.
Preceded in death by his parents, Fritz & Thresia; a sister, Donna Robbins, and a nephew, David Mills.
