OBITUARY-James H Mills was born November 18, 1923, to Howard and Nora (Troxel) Mills at Laurens, Iowa. He graduated from Storm Lake, Iowa, High School and was employed with his father as a carpenter.
On July 23, 1949, Jim married Rita A Peschong at St Agatha's Church in Howard. They lived at Ames, Iowa, from 1950 to 1959 and he was a manager of Wheeler Lumber and Bridge until he retired in 1985.
He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection.
He is survived by his wife, Rita of Huron; a son and his wife, Todd and Angela Mills of Huron; a daughter, Sara Eckmann of Huron; three grandchildren; Brady and Emily Mills, and Leslie Eckmann; two sisters, Verlie C Alm of Storm Lake, Eowa, and Mrs Gilbert (Wilda P) Bell of Jefferson, IA; and many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, David James Mills on May 21, 1982, and his parents.
Jim died Saturday morning at the Huron Regional Medical Center at the age of 70.
