Mrs Jardine is survived by three brothers, Donald Livingston of Watertown, SD, Duncan and Walter Livingston, of Carpentersville, IL, a sister, Mrs Susan Gardhouse at Raewell, Manitoba, and eight children, Mrs Henrietta Goddard, James L, Mrs Mary A Franklin, Mrs Wilhelmina Pratt, Annie, John H, Susan E and Jessie I, her husband having preceded her to the better land in March 1904. Her illness was of short duration, being sick but little over a week and her decease being the result of a severe cold and a consequent attack of pneumonia. Her death occuring at the home of her daughter, Mrs CW Franklin in this city.
Mrs Jardine was a woman of the most lovable character, friendly, symphathetic and all her acquaintances morn her demise as friends. Her home was always hospitable aned her help ready for those in sickness and suffering. In the community, her place will be hard to fill and from the church miltant has been called to the church triumphant one who has fought the good fight whose course is finished and whose reward is the crown of righteousness.
The funeral services were held from the home of Mr and Mrs Franklin at one o’clock and from the Presbyterian Church at half past one, Thursday afternoon, the interment being in the Castlewood cemetary by the side of her husband.
