OBITUARY- MRS PRATT DIES WHILE VISITING RELATIVES HERE
Mrs Wilhelmina Pratt, 75 of Racine, WI, who has been visiting relatives in Watertown for the past four and a half months, died at 11:55 pm Tuesday at a Watertown hospital following a short illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Mrs Pratt was born Nov 13, 1881, at Ontario, Canada, daughter of John and Mary Jardine. She moved to the Castlewood area with her parents as a child, and there she attended school. She later taught school at Castlewood.
After her marriage to Louis Dwight Pratt, she moved to Yale, SD. In 1936 she moved to Racine, WI and in 1940 to Watertown where she lived for several years. She moved back to Racine about three years ago.
She was a member of the Watertown Congregational church and also of the Women's Fellowship of the Congregational church.
Her husband, one son, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Walter Christenson, of Albequerque, NM and Mrs Arthur Bolman of Racine, WI; five sons, Robert, Donald, James and Richard, all of Long Beach, CA and Kenneth of Racine; two sisters, Mrs Rowe Ching of Castlewood and Mrs Susan North of Watertown; one brother, John J Jardine of Loomis, CA, 20 crandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
SERVIICE HELD FOR FORMER RESIDENT
fjuneral services for Mrs Wilhelmina Pratt, 75, Racine, Wis, former Watertown and Castlewood resident, who died Tuesday at a Watertown hospital, were held Sunday afternoon at the Watertown Congregational church.
The Rev Myron Meckel of Rockford, Ill, former pastor here, officiated at the services. Music was frunished by Mrs Harold Baxter, soloist, accompanied by Miss Irene Krull, organist.
Burial was in Mt Hope cemetery under the direction of the Shaw Messer Chapel.
Casket bearers were Earl Raasch, Howard Ching, Eugene Ching, Melvin Ching, Wilbur Ching, and Herbert Franklin. JE Krull served as usher.
Relatives from a distance who attendened the services were Mrs Walter Christiansen of Albuquerque, NM, Mrs Arthur Bolman, Racine WI, Donald, James and Richard Pratt, all of Long Beach, CA, Mr and Mrs Kenneth Pratt and Nancy, Racine, WI, Mr and Mrs Duane Miller of Howard; and Mrs Charles Miller and daughter, Jacqueline, Racine, WI. Many other relatives from Watertown and Castlewood were also in attendance.
