Rose Mary Penick, 87, died Tuesday, December 14th in a fire at her home. Services will be 10:30 am Monday, December 20th at St. John’s Catholic Church in Adel, with burial at St. Mary’s cemetery near Dallas Center. Friends may call after noon Sunday and family will greet friends from 2 to 4 pm with a vigil service at 4 at McCalley Funereal Home in Adel.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Rose Mary loved spending time with her family. She loved to crochet, play cards and fish.
She is survived by her children Rose Ann (Earl) Lemon; Marilyn (Howard) Hodges, Raymond (Nancy) Penick, John (Donna) Penick, Michael (Ethel) Penick, and Karen (Joe) Fitzpatrick; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
