Obituary
Vincent A. Callan, 74, of Woodward died of complications of diabetes Friday at USA Healthcare Center in Urbandale. Services will be at 10 am Monday at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Beaver Catholic Cemetery there.
Mr. Callan had lived in Woodward all his life. He was a farmer and retired from John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Knights of Columbus, Granger American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, United Auto Workers and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Madrid.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; two sons, Pat of Wheaton, Ill., and Mike of Arlington, Texas; three daughters, Kathleen Dunning of Waterloo, Maureen Callan of Littleton, Colo., and Celeste Felix of Omaha; a brother, Joseph of Woodward: two sisters, Agnes Fink of West Des Moines and Mary Reed of Garland, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
