Obituary
The funeral of Paul Weil was held Tuesday morning, Jan. 12 in St. Boniface church with a solemn requiem Mass. Rev. Wm. Coughlan of Perry was celebrant, assisted by Father M. D. O’Neil; deacon Father Wm. Hagerty of Bayard as sub-deacon. Father John Gorman was master of ceremonies. Other priests in the sanctuary were Father Ligutti of Granger; Fathers Curtin; Maher and Reynolds of Des Moines. Four nephews of the deceased were altar boys. The pall bearers were Leo and Charles Broderick, Joe and Hubert McKinney, John Hanlon and John Pegram.
The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery near Dallas Center. He leaves to mourn his loss five brothers, John, Joe, Pete and Andy of Waukee and Frank of Plainview, Texas, who was unable to be present; also three sisters, Mrs. P. V. Callan of Granger; Mrs. Jack McKinney of Churchville and Sister Mary Rose of Council Bluffs.
Out of town people who attended the funereal were; V. C. Miller and son Herman; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller of Howard, South Dakota; Conrad Weil and daughter Catherine of St. Louis; Chris Weil and family and Martin Miller and family of Martensdale; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Weil and family of Churchville; Mr. and Mrs. James Bussanmas of Bevington; Sisters Mary Alberta and Sister Mary Thomas and Mother Elizabeth of Council Bluffs and Sister Mary Basil of Des Moines.
