OBITUARY-William J Soukup, 82, Scotland, died Thursday, Jan 13, 1993, at Landmann-Junman Hospital, in Scotland.
Mr Soukup was born on April 16, 1910, in Yankton where he grew up. He married Theresa Schulte on Nov 19, 1935. He worked for Donahues Box Factory and the Ice House House for Northwestern until 1943 when he moved to a farm near Scotland. He farmed there until 1983 when he retired. He moved to Scotland in 1988.
Mr Soukup was a member of the Scotland Sportsman Club and St George's Catholic Church in Scotland.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rochard and his wife, JoAnn, Scotland; Carl and his wife Marietta, Sioux Falls; Howard and his wife Sharon, Harrisburg; a daughter, Mrs Laurence "Pete" (Helen) Manke, Sioux Falls; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Mass will begin at 10.30 am Saturday in St George's Catholic Church, Scotland, with burial in St George's Catholic Cemetery, Scotland.
Visitation will be today at Petrik-Kelley Funeral Home, Scotland.
Scripture service will begin at 7 pm today in the church.
