Cynthia J. Piper, 43 of the 3200 block of Easton Boulevard died of brain cancer Tuesday, 5 December 2000, at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Booneville Cemetery in Booneville.

Mrs. Piper had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a counter manager with Van Maur.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; a daughter, Jessica Piper of Des Moines; Two sons, Nicholas and Jon, both of Des Moines; her parents, Phyllis and Duane Forret of Van Meter, as sister, Susan Shepard of Rochester, MN, and three brothers, Mark Forret of Cabot, AR, Phillip Forret of Dallas, TX, and Kelly Forret of West Des Moines.
