Don had a massive heart attack at the 1995 Miller Cousin Reunion. Despite CPR for 30 minutes administered by his relatives he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Faulkton Hospital.
Obituary
Donald Leo Sadler was born May 10, 1940 at the family homestead in Miner County, SD to Leo and Helen (Harings) Sadler.
He attended grade school at St Mary’s School in Epiphany and St Agatha High School in Howard, graduating in 1958. Don went to Sioux Falls to work in 1959. He and Beverley Miller were married Jan 20, 1962 in Howard. They lived in Sioux Falls for a year before moving to the family farm near Epiphany. He did some farming, raised sheep and worked for Grady Construction until 1975. He then began his own construction business. The family moved to Howard in 1988.
The important things in Don’s life were the family farm, his wife, children and grand children, music and anything to do with wood.
Grateful for having shared his life are: his wife, Beverley; two sons and their wives, Doug and Dodie, Dean and Betty both of Watertown; three daughters, Kris and Harvey Strohfus, Aberdeen, Karen and Karla at home; three grand children: Matthew and Jenna Strofus, Michael Sadler; one sister: Sister Agatha Marie of St Edward, NE.
Don was preceeded in death by his parents.
