Julia Amelia Dinslage was born April 15, 1908 at St Edward, Boone County, Nebraska, the fourth child of Herman and Mary Miller Dinslage.
Julia was born when her family lived in the St Edward, Nebraska area, the family later moved to the Albion community where her parents farmed.
Julia married Cecil Brown on February 4, 1934. They farmed in Boone County, Nebraska for about thirteen years contending with grasshoppers and dry weather. They gave up farming deciding to try something different. They moved to West Point, Nebraska in 1946, where they operated a bar, farmed, operated a package liquor store and a dry cleaning and laundry establishment.
They were the parents of one son, Thomas Patrick, who died in infancy.
Cecil passed away September 13, 1969. Julia continues to make her home in West Point.
