Ella M. Forret, 88, of Adel died of a respiratory ailment Tuesday at Adel Acres Care Center. Services will be at 10 am Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Adel, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
Mrs. Forret was born in Churchville and lived in the Boonville area most of her life before moving to Adel 2 ½ years ago. She was a homemaker and member of Lee Township Farm Bureau.
She is survived by four daughters, Catherine Shannon of Des Moines, Marie Thomas of Windsor Heights, Ila Hightshoe of Swisher and Kay Boston of Adel; two sons, Duane and Jay, both of Van Meter; two brothers, John McKinney of Dallas Center and Leonard McKinney of Colorado; four sisters, Anna King of St. Charles, Rosemary Penick of Bayard, Leona Dittmer of Panora and Theresa Hart of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 3 pm today at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and a prayer service will be held at 7 pm
