Services for Mrs. Rosa Akers, 60, of 309 S. W. Leland Avenue, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King church at St Marys. A rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Caldwell-McIlhon funeral home and burial will be at St. Mays, Iowa.

Mrs. Akers, who died at home Saturday of a heart attack, was born in St. Marys and had lived in Des Moines 16 years. She is a member of Christ the King church at St. Marys.

She is survived by her husband, Bert; five sons, Everett, Aitkin, Minn. Wert, Iven and Richard, all of Des Moines, and Cpl. Lawrence Akers, Japan; six daughters, Mrs. Pearl Farnsworth, Leavenworth, Wash.; Mrs. Della Blackburn, Des Moines; Mrs. Phozene Waters., Des Moines; Violet and Naomi Akers, both of Des Moines; a sister, Sister Mary Raphael, St. Vincent's convent, Taylorville, Ill., and 23 grandchildren.2
